Statements on this year’s festival
1. The Festival Statement
The board of the Blenheim Palace Festival of Literature Film and Music have decided with regret, not to stage the planned festival at the palace this October.
Despite a decade of great speakers and events, the present economic conditions present too many challenges and risks for the organisers.
With interested parties and the palace, we will be exploring the prospect of re-launching the festival in October 2020.
For enquiries about the 2020 festival please contact Tony Byrne, special advisor, at

2. The Palace Press Statement
We are very sad to hear that the Blenheim Palace Festival of Literature Film and Music will not be running this October, we know that this is something that has been very popular with our visitors during the last ten years. We understand that this was a difficult decision for the board of the festival to make, we are very excited to work with them on the potential of a 2020 relaunch and look forward to welcoming them back to the palace next year. Blenheim Palace continues to run a full programme of events, including sporting activities, historical events and, of course, our hugely successful Christmas at Blenheim Palace.
