Tomorrow however is shaping up nicely. At 10.30am festival goers will be faced with attending either a cooking demonstration by Eleonora Galasso or Justine Picardie’s talk on Coco Chanel.
Justine of course is Editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar while Eleonora, Italy’s equivalent of Nigella Lawson - just duskier and smokier - is one of her county’s most influential chefs.
Then at noon, Melvyn Bragg, every thinking woman’s Diet Coke break, delivers the Gibraltar Lecture.
And that’s all before lunch…
