Award-winning novelist Sadie Jones talks to fellow writer Lucy Atkins about her new novel, Fallout. The novel is set in 1970s London and follows the fortune of four young friends trying to forge their way in the world of theatre. It is a story of love, ambition and betrayal. Theatreland of the 1970s is a world well-known to Jones, who is the daughter of poet, playwright and scriptwriter Evan Jones and actress Joanna Jones.

Jones is author of three other novels including winner of the Costa First Novel Award, The Outcast, which was also shortlisted for the Orange Prize.  The Outcast is being turned into a primetime two-part BBC television drama.

Atkins is the author of the 2014 novel, The Missing One. She has also written, co-written or ghost written seven non-fiction books and is a feature journalist, and book critic for The Sunday Times.
