Bestselling author and journalist Giles Milton tells the unknown story of how Lenin plotted to topple Western democracies and of the British spies sent to stop him. He follows the group of spies sent undercover to Russia tasked with preventing Lenin from destroying British India. Lenin believed that if Britain lost India it would spark a revolution at home and ultimately bring down all Western democracies. What follows is a three-year story of murder, deception and duplicity as the group infiltrates Soviet hierarchy, the Red Army and the secret police and comes within an ace of assassinating Lenin.
Milton has published seven works of non-fiction including White Gold – currently being piloted for a major Channel 4 series – and Nathaniel’s Nutmeg. He has also written two novels and three children’s books.
