Dear Conjunction Theatre Company brings its acclaimed Oscar Wilde show to the festival. Written and performed by Leslie Clack and directed by Patricia Kessler, it chronicles the highs and lows of Oscar Wilde’s life through extracts from his work and scenes from his trials. Wilde led a very public life, often flouting the conventional Victorian morality of the day.
More Lives Than One was inspired by Irish actor Micheál MacLiammóir’s one-man show The Importance of Being Oscar. It is a condensed version with new ingredients. It was a hit at the Edinburgh Festival 2008 and has since been seen widely in Europe and the USA.
‘With smooth and mellifluous voice Clack gives Wilde lovers an informative and well researched show, peppered with excerpts from the great writer’s plays . . . An enjoyable and revealing evening for any Oscar Wilde fan.’ Cecil Boys The British Theatre Guide
