*******AND THEN THERE WAS LIGHT: So… Thursday, October 13 at approximately 11.42am and despite the fine spit (you know, the ‘sticky’ type), the gun-grey metal clouds, the gnawing Autumnal chill and the fact I’m here a few hours ahead of the Festival’s first guest - the always Audrey Hepburn chic Darcey Bussell - there’s definitely a buzz.
And frankly, rightly so. After all, what a perfect location for a festival of film and literature, and while I pray someone doesn’t have the bad grace to ask Ms Bussell about Will Young’s unexpected departure from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, I’m also praying they do…
